June 9, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Chattanooga State Community College held the groundbreaking ceremony yesterday for the future home of its $21.7M TCAT Advanced Manufacturing Building located on Chattanooga State’s main campus. The 50,000 square foot, two-story workforce training facility is scheduled to open in 2024.
May 26, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Chattanooga State’s Dinner of Firsts 10th Anniversary Celebration was once again a resounding success! Net proceeds for the event totaled more than $68,000 with $39,000 going to the Tom Edd Wilson First in the Family Endowed Scholarship and $29,000 to the annual First in the Family Scholarship. Since its inception, the Dinner of Firsts has provided more than $601,000 in scholarship support for first-generation students.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Advanced Manufacturing Building will take place on the main campus of Chattanooga State Community College.

May 3, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- The Alumni Association of Chattanooga State is proud of its many graduates and is planning two events in May to bring alumni together for the first time since 2019.
In Tennessee, the increase of drug-overdose deaths continues to rise. At the end of 2020, more than 1,500 Tennesseans passed away, and during the first half of 2021, there were 80 suspected fatal overdoses in Hamilton County alone. Because Chattanooga State values the well-being of each other, we have collaborated with the Council for Alcohol & Drug Abuse Services (CADAS), to present an opioid awareness program for students, faculty, and staff on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in the Humanities Theatre/Auditorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
As a continuing part of the Bond Arts and Culture Series, Chattanooga State Community College will present “From History to Hip-Hop,” featuring teaching artist Jonathan Blanchard on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. ET in the C.C. Bond Humanities Auditorium, 4501 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga. Immediately following the event, a post-performance discussion will take place. Registration is open for BASF’s TECH Academy for rising juniors and seniors in Hamilton County. Scheduled for the week of June 13 and provided through a partnership with Chattanooga State Community College, the BASF program introduces students to technical and craft careers through hands-on demonstrations and experiments at Chattanooga State, tours of local employers and career-focused discussions with BASF personnel.
