Chattanooga State Celebrates Adult Learning Success Outcomes

With adult learning success as a major objective of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) 2015-2025 Master Plan, Chattanooga State celebrates outcomes on several fronts. During the 2021 year, the College received a perfect score on the Adult Learner Success Standard Comprehensive Report and experienced a 2.085% increase in Tennessee Reconnect enrollment. Based on the 2020-2021 Score Report, 29.9% of Chattanooga State students are adult students. In comparison to other community colleges in Tennessee, ChattState has the fourth highest percentage of adult students.

Chattanooga State Students Experience Global Learning Collective

Earlier this fall, Chattanooga State Community College students got together to discuss their Global Learning Collective virtual internship program experiences with College administrators, study abroad directors, and other students. Chattanooga State Announces Tiger Momentum Days

It’s good news for high school seniors that have applied to Chattanooga State … Tiger Momentum has returned! While high school seniors from Soddy-Daisy, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Ooltewah, Grundy, South Pittsburg, Whitwell and Sequoyah attended sessions during November, seniors from Hixson, Howard, Tyner, Central, Sequatchie, Red Bank, East Ridge and Lookout Valley will participate in these next exciting events scheduled for January 10, 11, 12 or 14, 2022.

Chattanooga State December Commencement Announced

Chattanooga State Community College will confer degrees upon approximately 200 graduates from its six academic divisions on Friday, December 10, 2021. Ceremonies will be held in the Humanities Auditorium located on the main campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga.

Beginning at 11:00 a.m., five ceremonies will be held throughout the day to include graduates of Nursing and Allied Health, Business, Engineering and Information Technologies, Humanities and Fine Arts, Math and Sciences, and Social and Behavioral Sciences divisions.

Chattanooga State Announces Fall Festival 2021

Chattanooga State’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30 combines free food, lots of fun, health services, tours, games, and learning activities for all ages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga.

While mouth-watering aromas will fill the air offering free eats, kids can enjoy a little pre-Halloween trick or treating right on campus and play games courtesy of Student Activities.

Chattanooga State and CARTA Announce Rideshare Agreement

Chattanooga State Community College and the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) have reached a universal rideshare agreement effective immediately. The agreement allows all Chattanooga State students, faculty, and staff to ride CARTA for free with a valid ChattState ID through August 31, 2022.

Chattanooga State Student Technology Pantry is Open

Chattanooga State Community College welcomes students enrolled for the fall 2021 semester. Learners of all ages use technology within their courses and at home for assignments out of class. Students who do not own their own technology equipment may experience a fear of falling behind and quickly become discouraged; however, those students now have a new option thanks to the Student Technology Pantry.

Chattanooga State Announces Summer 2021 Dean’s List

Chattanooga State is proud to announce that students from the following counties have attained Dean’s List status for the 2021 summer semester. Eligibility requirements to make the Dean’s List includes students who have completed 12 or more hours of college-level work with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for that semester. Dean’s List recognition is based on calculations at the end of the semester and cannot be updated later to reflect grade changes, such as removal of incompletes.

Chattanooga State’s Juneteenth Celebration on June 19 has added a fun, free, mouth-watering “Applications and Appetizers” event for individuals who want to apply or enroll for classes this fall. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to enjoy free appetizers on the main campus at 4501 Amnicola Highway from Kena’s Cajun Kitchen and Shane’s Chicken Fish, & More.
