October 4, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Dr. Beth Norton, vice president for Academic Affairs, on behalf of Dr. Rebecca Ashford, president, Chattanooga State Community College (ChSCC) and Dr. Brian Noland, president, East Tennessee State University (ETSU) recently signed an articulation agreement between the two institutions. This agreement will develop a strong partnership that will facilitate a smooth and seamless movement of students that complete their associate degree at Chattanooga State to ETSU.
Chattanooga State is proud to announce that the following students have attained Dean’s List status for the 2022 summer semester. To be eligible, students must have completed 12 or more hours of college-level work with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for the semester. (Support classes are not included in the calculation.)

July 19, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- The second cohort class of the Medical Assisting program at the Kimball Site offered through the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) at Chattanooga State Community College is celebrating the success of its students, and the celebration became a golden one!
July 7, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- The Dual Enrollment Grant (DEG) expansion recently passed by the Tennessee state legislature will now provide more funds so Tennessee students can take more classes under the grant. Chattanooga State Community College dual enrollment students have enjoyed the benefits of the DEG for several years. With the expansion, high school students can now receive five tuition-free dual enrollment classes.
June 14, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- The Economic and Workforce Development Division at Chattanooga State Community College announces a series of construction-related courses for individuals wanting to gain educational knowledge for this varied field.
May 31, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) at Chattanooga State Community College recently awarded diplomas and certificates to 126 graduates for the spring 2022 semester.
May 20, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- There has never been a better time for adults to begin or return to college using the Tennessee Reconnect Grant. The class of 2022 was composed of 1,221 graduate candidates and of that amount, 50% of graduates were age 25 or older.

May 6, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- SkillsUSA competitions returned to in-person status for the first time since 2019 and student participants from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) at Chattanooga State Community College captured a total of 42 individual medals in 24 contests. Thirty-two of these medals were Gold, seven were Silver, and three were Bronze. A total of fifty-seven TCAT Chattanooga contestants competed this year.
