Chattanooga State Announces Tiger Momentum Days

It’s good news for high school seniors that have applied to Chattanooga State … Tiger Momentum has returned! While high school seniors from Soddy-Daisy, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Ooltewah, Grundy, South Pittsburg, Whitwell and Sequoyah attended sessions during November, seniors from Hixson, Howard, Tyner, Central, Sequatchie, Red Bank, East Ridge and Lookout Valley will participate in these next exciting events scheduled for January 10, 11, 12 or 14, 2022.

Chattanooga State Announces Fall Festival 2021

Chattanooga State’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30 combines free food, lots of fun, health services, tours, games, and learning activities for all ages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga.

While mouth-watering aromas will fill the air offering free eats, kids can enjoy a little pre-Halloween trick or treating right on campus and play games courtesy of Student Activities.

Patrick O’Hagan Named Chattanooga State Regional Impact Director

Chattanooga State Community College recently announced that Patrick O’Hagan as will serve in an expanded role as Regional Impact director. O’Hagan has served as the Kimball Site interim director in a full-time capacity and as regional workforce development liaison in Marion County since Julie Bennett’s retirement in 2020.

Julie Bennet Honored at Chattanooga State Kimball Site

When Julie Bennett retired from Chattanooga State Community College in October 2020 after 36 years of service, it was without the usual fanfare. Working remotely, friends, colleagues and well-wishers attended a virtual retirement ceremony in her honor, but it was not quite the same as an in-person event. So, when a special room-naming ceremony in her honor was scheduled for August 30 at the Kimball Site, those same friends and colleagues finally got the chance to wish her well on her retirement, complete with real-live hugs.

Chattanooga State Announces Summer 2021 Dean’s List

Chattanooga State is proud to announce that students from the following counties have attained Dean’s List status for the 2021 summer semester. Eligibility requirements to make the Dean’s List includes students who have completed 12 or more hours of college-level work with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for that semester. Dean’s List recognition is based on calculations at the end of the semester and cannot be updated later to reflect grade changes, such as removal of incompletes.

Chattanooga State Announces All Inclusive Registration Resort Day

With the fall semester fast approaching, Chattanooga State Community College announces its Registration Resort Day on Saturday, July 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the main campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway.

According to Dr. Kisha Thomas, director of recruiting, “Students will be in for an all-inclusive Chattanooga State experience during Registration Resort Day that combines fun, activities, music, tours, information, assistance, food, and more.”
