ChattState Baseball Announces Annual Pancake Breakfast

Chattanooga, TN --- Everyone love pancakes! Come and get yours from 8:00-10:00 a.m. during the Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, January 31, at Applebee’s Restaurant located at 5606 Brainerd Road. Cost is $5 per person.

This annual fundraiser for the Chattanooga State Tiger Baseball Team goes directly toward equipment, travel and scholarships for the program. Building on the success of previous breakfasts, the squad also will be selling extra hats, hoodies, t-shirts and other gear to help support the team. The 2015 season opens on February 3.

Midnight Madness Finds ChattState

Chattanooga, TN --- Basketball season is just around the corner and rumblings of “Midnight Madness” events can be heard at colleges around the nation. Count Chattanooga State in on the bandwagon for 2014 when the college offers fans its very first “Midnight Madness” pre-season event to kickoff basketball season.

Lady Tigers Take Third in NJCAA Division I Tournament

<p>Chattanooga, TN --- After finishing third in the Region VII tournament in 2013, the Lady Tigers were hungry for more and got close enough to taste it before falling to the team that beat them not once, but twice – Central Florida, dashing any chance of bringing home the tournament title. The Lady Tigers took third place in the 2014 National NJCAA Division I Softball Tournament during play at St. George, Utah.</p>

Chattanooga State Softball Team National Champions

Chattanooga, Tenn. — Saturday evening in St. George, Utah, Chattanooga State Community College’s Lady Tigers Softball team became the first local team to bring home a National Championship. After weeks of firmly holding on to the number one spot in NJCAA Division I softball, the Lady Tigers clinched the deal by defeating the second-seeded Lady Bruins of Salt Lake Community College 4-1 on a three-hitter by MVP Ashley Czechner.

Chattanooga State to host Baseball and Softball Tournament

Chattanooga, Tenn. --- Chattanooga State Community College will host the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region VII Baseball and Softball Tournament May 6-10. Community college teams from around the state will begin competing on Sunday at noon.

ChattState’s Lady Tigers Softball Team Ranked #1

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), on this the first day of the regular softball season, has ranked Chattanooga State Community College’s Lady Tigers softball team number one.

Ranked as eleventh in the preseason NJCAA softball polls, the Lady Tigers have beaten several other top 20 pre-season teams, in addition to some teams on the current top 20 list.
