It’s no secret that ChattState Tiger Baseball Coach Greg Dennis runs a tight ship, and that his players are expected to excel both on and off the field. Included in the team GPA of 3.36, Dennis also had four players who boasted a perfect 4.0, fourteen achieve a 3.5 or higher, and 18 who achieved a 3.0 overall. “I am especially proud of the guys that are in our outstanding Global Scholars Program, as they achieved a combined 3.75 GPA,” boasted Dennis.

ChattState will add a little extra fun to its 2016-2017 basketball season on Friday, December 2 with a spirit-filled Tiger Tailgate Party beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Omniplex Parking lot. Tiger Tailgate Party is free and open to the public who may tailgate as well! Attendees also won’t want to miss WGOW and the Sport Talk team who will be on hand to do a live remote.
With five wins and one loss this season, the Chattanooga State Men’s basketball team is on a roll. Two of those wins were conference and regional wins. Next Tuesday will be a test for the Tigers when they take on the number one junior college team in the nation, the Raiders of Northwest Florida State College in a non-conference game. This exciting match up will begin at 7:00 p.m. EST in the Chattanooga State gym.
Chattanooga State’s search for a new women’s head basketball coach has concluded following the selection of Stacey Franklin, former assistant coach at Kennesaw State University whose accomplishments included posting an “All-Time Most Wins” record this past season as well as seeing the team’s GPA average increase from 2.79 to 3.10 as its academic coordinator.
