CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Chattanooga State Community College have launched a new program to help with workforce development in the region.
The BlueHorizon program is an education-to-career partnership between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and ChattState.
“I never thought I would have a career fresh out of high school," said Janiyah Walker, a senior at Red Bank High School. "To put it in perspective, between graduation and starting BlueHorizon is only three weeks. I only have three weeks to have a summer, and I’m not upset about that because this is a career. I will be making a salary. I will have health insurance. I will have a 401(k). I never thought I would have this at 18."
BlueHorizon applications will be open August—October for its January 2027 cohort with information sessions beginning June 18. Learn more or attend an information session.
