Chattanooga State Kimball students responding to a plea from Marion County Community Ministries collected more than 1,150 food items for their pantry through the month of October. Marion County Ministries serves as the food bank for Marion County.
Chattanooga, TN --- It was a long time coming, but as Marion County Mayor John Graham stated, “It’s the future of our entire region!” The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Marion County Regional Institute for Higher Education building took place amid a crowd of more than 100 people on October 23. Regional and local government, business and industry, educational representatives and area residents were on hand to witness this historic occasion.
The Continuing Education Department at Chattanooga State Community College offers a series of ten wine tasting classes from September through December for wine lovers who wish to increase their knowledge of wine. All classes are held on Tuesdays, 7 – 8:30 p.m., at Create Here located at 55 E. Main Street.

Chattanooga State Community College and Bethel University have partnered to offer Chattanooga State graduates direct and easy access to an online program that awards a bachelor’s degree upon completion. Designed by Bethel University specifically for Chattanooga State graduates, the program accepts up to 80 hours of college credit and applies this credit towards a bachelor of science degree in management and organizational development.
