CHATTANOOGA, TN -- A new program at Chattanooga State Community College is helping students from as far away as Atlanta and Knoxville prepare for the next chapter of their lives in the flooring installation community. The first program of its kind in Tennessee, the four-part flooring installation course aims to create skilled installers in the flooring industry while providing students with a pathway to lucrative careers.

Chattanooga, TN (January 4, 2016) --- The River Counties Multiple Listing Service (RCMLS) recently presented a scholarship donation to the Chattanooga State Foundation’s River Counties Association of Realtors Scholarship. The intent of the scholarship is to encourage and promote students enrolled at Chattanooga State’s Dayton site to complete a course of study.
Chattanooga, TN --- The Chattanooga State Dayton Advisory Board meets several times a year to learn about what the college is offering that is new to the community and for students. This year in particular will herald some sweeping new changes in higher education. Attendees at the recent meeting on August 8 were very excited to learn about a brand new program recently signed into law by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam called Tennessee Promise. Debbie Adams, vice president for student affairs, briefly explained the program.
<p>Due to the overwhelming popularity of a recent LEGO Robotics Camp held at ChattState’s Sequatchie/Bledsoe site, a second class has been scheduled for July 28-August 1. The camp for children 8-12 years of age, will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time. The cost is $109 per student. The ChattState Sequatchie/Bledsoe site is located at 26297 Highway 127 between Dunlap and Pikeville.</p>
Chattanooga, TN --- Rebecca Hilleary of Spring City will graduate from Chattanooga State in May with an associate degree in pre-health …before she graduates sixth in her class of 315 students at Rhea County High School (RCHS) two weeks later. By the way, that includes an unprecedented 85 college credits amassed, with three-quarters of her bachelor’s degree completed.
Chattanooga, TN --- “We make our students a priority and serve them consistently each year,” shares Julie Bennett, site director for ChattState’s Kimball Site. Employing that strategy, the Kimball Site enjoyed double-digit enrollment increases during the fall 2013 semester. Figures show that full-time enrollment, known as FTE, rose 17.79 percent from 164 students during fall 2012 to 193 students in 2013. Overall headcount went from 356 in 2012 to 384 in 2013.
