How do I begin the admissions process?
Will completing the application register me for TCAT classes?

No, students must work through the enrollment checklist items. They may only register for courses after registration opens. Click here to learn more.

To enroll in a TCAT program, do I need a high school diploma or GED?

The majority of the programs do not require a high school or GED diploma. However, prospective students are still required to meet minimum placement scores for their program.

TCAT medical programs (Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant, and Massage Therapy) will require additional scores. Visit the TCAT - Apply page for more information.

How do I check TCAT program availability?

View program availability. Be sure to select the correct term (TCAT) and academic program.

What if the TCAT program I want is full?

Unfortunately, all TCAT programs have an enrollment limit, and students are enrolled on a first-come basis. If a program is full and you have met the admissions requirements, you can be placed on the waitlist.

How does the TCAT waitlist operate?

If a TCAT program is full and you have met the admission requirements, you are eligible to be placed on the waitlist for that program.

Waitlist spots are reserved on a first come basis. If a spot becomes available, TCAT personnel will contact waitlisted students (via email or phone) until the program is at capacity again.

How long does it take to complete a TCAT program?

Most programs are designed to be completed in one calendar year (3 semesters / 1,290 hours). Be sure to research your intended TCAT program to see it's full duration.

Can I enroll in a TCAT program at any time?

No, program enrollment is limited to the first week of each semester (fall, spring and summer).

However, some programs firmly operate from a Fall (August) start only. Be sure to research your intended TCAT program to completely understand when the term begins.

When do TCAT classes meet?

Most full-time TCAT programs operate Monday - Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Example:

  • Day Classes:
    Mon - Fri (8:00am - 2:30pm)
     
  • Evening Classes:
    Mon - Fri (4:00pm - 10:45pm)
Are part-time TCAT programs available?

No. Currently TCAT offers no part-time programs. 

Are TCAT students eligible to receive financial aid?

Yes, TCAT students are eligible to apply for:

How do I apply for financial aid?

All financial aid for TCAT is initiated by completing a FAFSA.
