Position Description
Position Summary
- IWS
Assist students with computer and technology questions in the public access area and library classroom
Assist with copying, scanning, faxing, and printing
Daily cleaning of tables, keyboards, mice and monitors
Answer service desk phones and assist patrons with questions or refer to appropriate department
Monitor paper supplies for copiers and printers and refill as needed
Help gather statistics on patron services provided daily
Report escalated technology and/or safety issues to the appropriate library staff member
Other duties as assigned
Required QualificationsIntermediate-level experience with navigating the Windows operating system
Intermediate-level experience with Microsoft Office for the three main applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Familiar with TigerWeb Self-Service (Banner), eLearn, TigerMail, the Chattanooga State website, and the Library website
Familiar with various browsers and their features
Customer Service experience
Work ExperienceLibrary experience

Preferred QualificationsFamiliar with social networking tools such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
Familiar with Google applications such as Gmail and Google Documents
Familiar with Apple computers and iPads
Familiar with mobile phone devices
Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsMust be able to routinely lift boxes weighing 10-15 pounds, push heavy book trucks, lift books above head, read and understand decimal numbers, bend, stoop, and stretch
Must not have asthma or back problems and must be able to tolerate repetitious tasks and work well with others
