Position Summary
  • FWS
Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Data entry of new student orientation surveys. • Help set up for new student orientation, stuffing bags, helping the staff with logistics to create an engaging experience with peer to peer engagements. • Help facilitate new student orientation registration and sessions. • Serve on a student panels during the orientations and other campus events. • Provide campus tours • Answer the office phone in the absence of the secretary. • Any other duties assigned by the Director

Required Qualifications

Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing. o Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher o Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. o Comfortable speaking to large groups and individuals. o Ability to represent the college positively and professionally at all times. o Punctual, dependable, and responsible. o Familiarity with campus resources, student life, academic programs, and services. o Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. o Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for special events. 

Work Experience

o Active involvement in campus activities, clubs, or organizations is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Bi-lingual-Spanish speaking is welcomed but not required. Represents the institution with integrity, maturity, and discretion. Adheres to college policies and dress code standards. Works well in a team setting and contributes to a positive work environment. Willing to assist with shared responsibilities and group events. 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Must be willing and able to conduct tours in varying weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain), with appropriate attire. Requires clear speech and active listening skills May occasionally be required to lift or carry materials such as welcome packets, signage, or event supplies (typically under 25 pounds). Work is typically performed in both indoor office settings and outdoor campus environments with frequent interaction with the public.
