President's Update - September 17, 2020

Dear Chattanooga State family,

Please see below for a few additional updates for this week.

Child Development Center Temporarily Closed

Out of an abundance of caution, the Chattanooga State Child Development Center (CDC) will be closed Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18 for deep cleaning and sanitizing following the report of an individual exhibiting symptoms (not confirmed positive). The CDC will reopen on Monday, September 21.

Virtual Backgrounds

If you would like to use a Chattanooga State virtual background for meetings or classes, four backgrounds have been developed for your use (links below). The virtual backgrounds can also be located in the Media Bank at the bottom of the page, as well as on the Fall 2020 Update page in the Resources section.

Chattanooga State Economic Impact

A recent economic impact study shows that Chattanooga State has pumped an average of $169 million per year into the local economy during the five-year period 2014 through 2019. Within the six-county service area we serve, the study indicated that the value of business volume and individual income generated a return on investment of $844 million and created 30,875 jobs. Have a wonderful weekend. Please stay safe and healthy and wear your face mask.
