Chattanooga, TN --- Daniel Dawson of Dunlap is not your typical high school student. He’s a sophomore taking college level courses at Middle College High School (MCHS) on the campus of Chattanooga State. He’s also a member of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga marching band, and plays with the Soddy Daisy Lacrosse Club.
Cora Leigh O’Neal loves school and wants to be successful. Through part-time jobs at Wetseal and Genuine Purl, she decided she wanted to own her own business, a yarn shop, because of her love for working with customers. She earned an associate of science degree and plans to transfer to UTC to study entrepreneurship. She says of her experience at Chattanooga State, “The Middle College program was the best experience.
