'Life Is About Helping Others’: Tiger Access Opens Doors to Opportunity at ChattState

Tina Gower, Coordinator of the Tiger Access Program at Chattanooga State, is leading the way in education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program offers two years of academic, social, and work experiences, helping students explore interests from veterinary technology to culinary arts.

“They have always been told, ‘You can’t, you can’t, you can’t, and I said, ‘You can, you can, you can,’ and the opportunities opened up,” Gower said.
