In times of high unemployment, it is more important than ever to train for careers that are in high-demand. A career in the EMS field fits this category. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the EMS field has an expected growth rate of 6% over the next 10 years, faster than the average for all occupations.
Chattanooga State Community College offers four program levels to students interested in the exciting field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), including an associate degree program in Paramedic and three technical certificate programs in Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
