Chattanooga State Announces Tennessee Reconnect Opportunities
November 3, 2020 | Betty A. Proctor | Press Release
For the fall 2020 semester, more than 900 adult students enrolled at Chattanooga State using the Tennessee Reconnect to Grant. These dedicated adult students understand that education is a key factor in their future career success. With enrollment for the Spring 2021 semester now open, Tennessee Reconnect students want others to know it can be done.
“I want to show my children to know that education is important. After being a high school student who was once content with only doing the bare minimum, I now carry a 4.0 GPA through hard work and determination, despite being a married, a mother of two very young children, and working part-time. I want to encourage others that it doesn’t matter if you take one, two, or four classes, you can do it.” – Kayla Haneckow, age 24
“After a bad experience at another institution that drained my Pell Grant money resulting in debt collectors hounding me constantly, my mom told me about an ad she saw for Tennessee Reconnect. After my previous experience, I was afraid it was too good to be true, but after attending a seminar to learn more, I was sold. Tennessee Reconnect gave me a second shot at a career in the games industry and a real education that I value so much, completely debt-free.” – Alexander Judia, age 32
“After twice abandoning a college education in 1997 and later 2009, my sister-in-law told me about Tennessee Reconnect. Initially hesitant, I made a declaration that I was ready to grow, utilize my gifts, and live life to my fullest potential. In 2018, I carefully selected my major and enrolled in the Hospitality Management Program knowing it would suit me because of my passion for helping people. I’m thankful for Tennessee Reconnect and Chattanooga State for making it all possible.” – Latonya Henderson, age 41
These students did it and you can too. Register for an upcoming Tennessee Reconnect information session virtually or in-person at chattanoogastate.edu/tnreconnect or call (423) 697-3346 for more information.
