It’s back to school time! I love this time of year. It’s a time of new notebooks, new schedules and new friends. For many of our newest Alumni Association members, this may be the first time in many years it is not back to school time for you.
Whether you are a recent graduate or a former student navigating through life as a professional, the Chattanooga State Alumni Association is the perfect way to keep that connection to the school which helped lay the ground work. Friends made during college years may last a lifetime, but other times we lose touch when classes have ended and those connections are gone. The members of the Alumni Association all share one common thread: a foundation offered by Chattanooga State and a desire to keep in touch with the school and folks involved there. If this describes you, we would love to have you become more active in our alumni association. There are no membership dues. We simply want to get to know you better and for you to help us in reaching our goal of being a resource to the school and the students who are following behind us.
We are planning our 2nd Annual “Chattanooga State Alumni Road Shows” and our focus this year, in addition to a time of fellowship and networking, is to offer alumni an opportunity to meet our new President, Dr. Rebecca Ashford. Dr. Ashford will be joining us all three evenings to spend time with our members and allow you the opportunity to get to know who she is and what she is about.
You won’t want to miss it. Each event begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 7:00 p.m. The dates and locations are as follows:Wed., Oct. 11, Bar Louie Hamilton Place Mall, 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd., Suite 238, Chattanooga, TN 37421 Thurs., Oct. 12, Ari’s Harbor Lights, 9718 Hixson Pike, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379 Wed., Oct. 18, Urban Stack downtown, 12 W 13th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402
