We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Art & Soul of Jazz Festival at Chattanooga State Community College on February 20, 2023! This exciting event will bring together the vibrant worlds of art, music, food, and culture for a day of celebration and creativity.


  • Jazz Band
    9:30am - 10:45am
    The Chatt State Jazz Band will present a morning of jazz standards under the musical direction of Jay Stanfill.


  • Keynote Speaker: Kevin Aslinger

    Join us for a lunch & learn sponsored by Global Scholars Honors on the topic of "Jazz: From Trepidation to Transcendence."


  • Gordon Inman Quartet

    Come enjoy the smooth sounds of this jazz quartet that includes a clarinetist, a bassist, a drummer, and a keyboardist.


  • Dinner & Movie: The Princess & The Frog
    5:00pm - 6:45pm

    Come join us for a modern twist on a classic tale, set in the great city of New Orleans, where a beautiful girl named Tiana meets a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again. A fateful kiss leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana. Light dinner provided.


  • Premier Jazz Orchestra
    7:00pm - 8:30pm
    Humanities Auditorium
    Premier Jazz Orchestra is a big band ensemble comprised of top tier musicians with decades of experience & three generations of band leaders!



All events are free to the public (except as noted) and are presented at the Chattanooga State Humanities Theatre (except as noted), 4501 Amnicola Highway.
