Calling All Moms-to-Be: Support Student Learning with a FREE Ultrasound Scan

The ChattState Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is seeking pregnant volunteers for free obstetric ultrasound scans.
These free, non-diagnostic ultrasound scans are performed by sonography students for training purposes. We warmly welcome all pregnant individuals interested in volunteering to sign up for an appointment!

• 11:30AM – 12:30PM
• 12:30PM – 1:30PM

Volunteer Qualifications/Requirements:

• 18week-30 week pregnancies preferred.
• Volunteer must be at least 18 years old.
• Pregnancy must be confirmed by volunteer's provider.
• Minimum commitment of (1) hour, with a maximum commitment of two (2) hours.
• Ultrasound images can be obtained and sent to volunteers via email.
• Volunteers may bring one (1) guest.

Chattanooga State Hosts Free Screening of My Garden of a Thousand Bees on October 14, 2025

Join us for a free, all-ages screening of My Garden of a Thousand Bees at Kolwyck Library on October 14, 2025, at 11 AM. This PBS Nature documentary takes you inside a tiny garden to discover over 60 species of native bees, showcasing their vital role in our ecosystems.

Filmed by wildlife filmmaker Martin Dohrn during the pandemic, the documentary offers unprecedented, close-up footage of bees and their behaviors. Attendees will learn about the importance of pollinators, the challenges they face, and simple ways to support them.

Chattanooga State has been an official Xerces Bee Campus since 2018.

Join Chattanooga State’s Symphonic Band and Concert Choir for their fourth annual Happy Halloween Concert. Wear your costumes and be ready to enjoy some spooky sights, sounds, and photo booth. The concert is free and open to the public, but please bring a canned good or other non-perishable item to help support the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.  Monetary donations are also accepted via a QR code available in the lobby of the Humanities building.
