Nicholas Hartline is Assistant Professor of Music at Chattanooga State Community College, where he directs the Symphonic Band, Chamber Music Ensembles, and teaches clarinet. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Music Education and Clarinet Performance, respectively. He has also served on the faculties of Southern Adventist University and Covenant College. Mr. Hartline performs regularly with the Chattanooga Symphony and the Huntsville Symphony, and has performed as a guest soloist with several orchestras. As a chamber musician, Mr. Hartline has founded several ensembles including The Chattywampus Trio alongside flutist Cindy Solfest-Wallis and pianist Alan Nichols. His chamber ensembles have been invited to several summer music festivals, including ClarinetFest 2016 and 2022. Mr. Hartline was also co-director of the River City Clarinet Winter Festival - a clarinet choir festival that drew participants from all over the US. He has also served as orchestra director for the Signal Mountain Playhouse since since 2017.
