The Workforce Development Office at Chattanooga State is a resource center for students who are accessing educational benefits provided through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) or the Trade Adjustment Act (TAA). The office acts as a liaison between the Tennessee Career Centers and Chattanooga State Community College, to assist students with the submission of documents and to oversee students’ contracts and benefits while attending Chattanooga State.
Because you are unemployed or underemployed, you may qualify to receive assistance through federal and/or state programs. Contact one of the Tennessee Career Centers to determine if you are eligible to access these benefits. To locate a Tennessee Career Center, visit www.tn.gov/labor-wfd/empwfd.html. The Southeast Tennessee Career Center serves the Chattanooga area.
