Position Summary
  • Federal Work Study Students (Computer Center - Technical Services)
Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Student workers in this area will be taught:

  • Customer Service skills

  • Setup and imaging of computer labs and classrooms

  • Care and setup of faculty/staff computers

  • Local and network printer installation

  • Software Installation – Various Applications.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have good communication skills, positive attitude and be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Work Experience Preferred Qualifications

Technology students are preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Applicants must:

  • Be able to lift 40 pounds

  • Be able to frequently walk the campus buildings

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics

Applicants must:

  • Be punctual and dependable

  • Dress appropriately for a business environment

  • Behave professionally and courteously

  • Be willing to work with a team or independently as requested

  • Be willing to learn setups and layouts of campus classrooms and labs 

  • Communicate well and provide documentation of services performed
