Chattanooga State’s Ross Recognized with SNMMI Award

June 22, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Leesa Ross, associate professor and Nuclear Medicine Technology program director at Chattanooga State Community College was recognized with the President’s Distinguished Service Award during the 2022 Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Conference in Vancouver, Canada. The presentation was made by Dusty York, current SNMMI president and Chattanooga State colleague.

“Leesa has always supported me professionally and encouraged me to run for president of the SNMMI-TS,” stated York. “During my presidency, Leesa took on additional duties and continued to support me as well, so I definitely wanted her service to be recognized.”  The President’s Distinguished Service Awards are given to members who go above and beyond in their service to the society.

The SNMMI conference is recognized as the premier educational, scientific, research, and networking event in in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. Ms. Ross has more than 30 years of involvement with the society and has served in many positions and on committees within the organization that also included being named a Fellow in 2021 by SNMMI-TS (Technologist Section).
