CHATTANOOGA, TN -- Chattanooga State Community College’s summer camps are returning in Summer 2025 with offerings for youth ranging from 8 to 12 and 15 to 17 years of age.
This year’s camp lineup includes opportunities for children ages 8 to 12 to try their hands at building robots in Building Bots for Battle, Building Robopetz, and Demolition Bots camps. Camp attendees will learn to work with gears, motors, axles, and other proprietary RoboThink hardware. RoboThink is dedicated to teaching children about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). No experience is necessary to attend a robotics camp.
Teens ages 15 to 17 are eligible to attend "Teen Safety Camp: Protecting Yourself in Any Situation," which aims to prepare soon-to-be adults with self-defense and safety skills to confidently handle any situation. The three-day camp teaches staying aware, preparedness, self-defense basics, advanced moves, and preparation for real-life scenarios. No experience is necessary to attend Teen Safety Camp.
Provided by the college’s Economic & Workforce Development Division, the summer camps are designed to inspire kids and teenagers to explore new interests and develop new skills during the summer break. Parents can explore camps and sign up online.
