Job Profiling

Use Job Profiling to Make Great Hiring Decisions

Authorized job profilers completed the job profiling process for several thousand jobs. There are more than 400 occupational profiles that represent more than 4,500 profiled jobs. The occupation titles used in the database match the titles in the Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network database (O*NET™).

With ACT's job profiling process, an ACT-trained facilitator works collaboratively with groups of your employees to complete each job analysis. Job incumbents serve as the subject matter experts who define the tasks and skills needed to perform a specific job.

Job profiling consists of a task analysis to select the tasks most critical to a job and skill analysis to identify the skills and skill levels required to enter the job and perform effectively.

By matching the job profile information with individual scores on the WorkKeys assessments, you can make reliable decisions about hiring, training, and program development needs.

Job Search Resources

Internship & Cooperative Education

An internship provides students with experience that is specifically related to their career objective. In addition, internships allow students working in their field of study to earn credit hours. An internship can greatly increase a student's marketability upon graduation.

Graduate Employment

We highly encourage all graduates to complete a Placement Survey when they complete studies in their career program, and obtain a job in their field of study.

Employer Services

A vital link between Chattanooga State and the business community. Students and alumni are connected with employers through job search services for full or part-time work and internships.
