Position Summary: 

FWS Position (Personnel Clerk)

Typical Duties and Responsibilities: 

-Receive office visitors and answer telephones; determine customer needs and provide appropriate customer service.
-Assist in resolving applicant questions in using the college's online employment system.
-Provide general clerical assistance (typing, filing, copying, etc.); prepare various correspondence; schedule appointments; make travel arrangements.
-Assist other HR staff as needed; provide back-up services in the absence of other Human Resources non-exempt staff.
-Promote, support, and participate in student recruitment.

Required Qualifications: 

Education and training: High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics: 

-Knowledge: Knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and equipment (computer, online employment systems, fax, copier, multi-line telephone, etc.); correct English usage; word processing and database software.

-Skills: Skills in oral and written communication; managing work flow; word processing; handling clerical details with accuracy and speed; interpersonal skills consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Work Experience: 

Work experience: One year full-time general clerical experience.
