Chattanooga State's Concert Choir and volunteers will perform the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein' The Sound of Music. Two community rehearsals on Thursday and Friday, March 30 and 31 at 7:00 p.m. are open to all interested singers from the campus or the community. Music will be provided. Singers of all ages are welcome.

ChattState English Professor Erica Lux will interview Ariel Francisco about his journey to becoming a writer, his writing process, and what it means to be a Southern author. Join us at the Hunter Museum of American Art to ask questions, get your books signed, and mingle with other readers from the community at our dessert reception.
This in-person event is free to the public, and no advance registration is required.
We’ll have copies of Francisco’s featured collection, A Sinking Ship Is Still a Ship, available onsite for purchase and author signing.

Graduating high school senior Ezekiel Jones will present a solo piano recital featuring works by Haydn, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and others. Ezekiel is a dual enrollment student at Chattanooga State.

Kate Izell has been in the digital marketing industry for 11 years. Since 2016, she’s served as the CEO of her successful digital marketing company, Izell Marketing Group. Over the course of her career, Kate has mastered Google Ads and Analytics, social media marketing, SEO, landing page conversion optimization, custom websites builds, marketing automation, and more. She has used these skills to deliver customized digital strategies for clients across many industries. Notable organizations that have directly sought out Kate’s strategic expertise include Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts University, and Shaw Contract.
Additionally, Kate currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce as the Vice Chair of Marketing and Communications and has guest lectured in classes at the Gary Rollins School of Business at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Chattanooga State joins a community-wide effort with EPB and Qubitekk to celebrate World Quantum Day in Gig City by hosting a special event open to the public to learn more about the power of quantum networks.

Quantum computing is a rapidly emerging technology that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems too complex for classical computers. Quantum technology will revolutionize cybersecurity, computers, artificial intelligence, chemistry, medicine, and, ultimately, the world economy.
Hear from Dr. Duncan Earl, a nationally recognized pioneer in the field of practical quantum applications, as he introduces ideas about how life might be different in the coming Quantum Age. Dr. Earl holds a doctorate in physics and believes the time for real-world quantum computing has arrived. He is the Founder, President & CTO of Qubitekk, a company headquartered in San Diego with an office in Chattanooga. Qubitekk and EPB have partnered to build a commercial quantum network. Quantum networks are just the beginning of the quantum revolution.
