Polytech Academy at Kimball is a unique blend of high school and college courses designed to give students a jump start on their education and career paths. Students will take Chattanooga State courses using labs and equipment.

CADAS Presents: Opioid Awareness
Wednesday, March 02, 2022
The event will be in the Humanities Auditorium. They will also have frontline counselors and guests to speak about opioids in the community and personal stories regarding recovery from addiction. There will also be a Q&A session at the end.
The event is open to all students, staff, and faculty.

Music: “A Night at the Movies!” featuring the Symphonic Band
The Chattanooga State Symphonic Band invites you to a multi-media evening featuring great music and videos from giants of the movie industry—Disney’s FROZEN, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story, Ratatouille, La La Land, Cars, Up, and more! The ensemble is directed by Nicholas Hartline and includes students of Chattanooga State, Collegiate High, the STEM School of Chattanooga, and community volunteers.

As part of their Southeast tour, the contemporary chamber ensemble “Unheard-of” will present a unique musical and visual experience that explores American landscapes through the lens of climate change. Composer Christopher Stark and video artist Zlatko Ćosić embarked on a journey across the United States capturing audio and video for this multimedia experience. Ford Fourqurean (clarinet), Matheus Souza (violin), Issei Herr (cello), and Daniel Anastasio (piano) form the core of Unheard-of//Ensemble.

Writers@Work: Inside the Mind of Karen Russell (The Behind-The-Writer Interview)
Enjoy beautiful views of the Tennessee River from the lobby of the Hunter Museum during this evening with Karen Russell. Arrive at 5:15pm to experience Baggs McKelvey's new installation, Indigo; the artist will be present to discuss this piece and its connection to themes in Russell's collection. Drift back to the lobby by 6:00pm for Writers@Work's annual interview night; ChattState English Professor Erica Lux will interview Karen Russell about her journey to becoming a writer, her writing process, and what it means to be a Southern author. Join us at the Hunter Museum of American Art to ask questions, get your books signed, and mingle with other readers from the community at our dessert reception.

Required for application to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. There are two options to complete the Information Session, online with quiz or in person. In person will also consist of a tour of facilities and a session to answer any questions. Reservation is not required. Writers@Work: Those Devilish Details (How Research Brought Orange World to Life)
Orange World, like all of Karen Russell’s work, is rich in fantastical details that make those magical worlds come to life.
