Admission Process
Admission into the Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) is by interview and audition.
To apply, please send an application, a photo (snapshot is okay), and resume (list theatre and related classes you've taken and productions.) You may send the application by email or snail mail. We will contact you to schedule an interview and audition. For the audition, you should prepare one contemporary monologue, no more than three minutes in length. The monologue should be within your age range.
If you are accepted into the program, you will complete the standard admissions process at Chattanooga State.
Auditions will continue until the class is filled.
Admission into the second year is by invitation only.

*Tuition may be higher for School Year 2010--2011. The fee schedule is available on the college web site at www.chattanoogastate.edu. Students with a 3.5 GPA, ACT composite score of 25 or higher, or SAT score of 1130 or higher are eligible for the Honors Acting Course. Out-of-state students who qualify for Honors Acting pay in-state tuition.
Degree Options
Certificate: Graduating students have earned sixty-four (64) college credit hours. Some credit hours will transfer towards a BA or BFA depending on requirements of the institution.
Associate Degree: Those students seeking an Associate Degree (AA or AS) take general education courses in addition to their PATP courses.
Study in England: The Professional Actor Training Program and Rose Bruford College in London have entered into a collaboration whereby Rose Bruford considers applications from students who have completed the program at Chattanooga State. These students may be eligible to earn a Bachelor's degreewith honors followingone additional calendar yearof study at Rose Bruford.
For those students who haveearned a Bachelor's degree, Rose Bruford offersa Masters in Theatre Practices after onefurther year of study.At each stage students must meet Rose Bruford's entrance requirements. Masters Degree: Qualifying students may earn a Master's Degree through Antioch University McGregor while enrolled in the Professional Actor Training Program.
