Testing Center

Requirements of all students utilizing the center

  1. Check to see how your exam is scheduled and following the appropriate directions
  2. Please be prompt for your appointment
  3. A Chattanooga State I.D. is required of all students who are testing. All non-students are required to show their Drivers License.
  4. All cell phones, pagers, beepers, walkie-talkies, PDAs or wireless communication devices must be turned off before entering the testing center (not on vibrate)
  5. Digital watches, alarm watches or wristwatch cameras are prohibited
  6. Any kind of photographic or copying device is prohibited
  7. Hats (unless worn as a religious requirement)
  8. Hoodies
  9. Listening devices such as radios, media players with headphones or recorders
  10. No food or drink are allowed in the testing center
  11. Only cash or checks are taken for testing fees
  12. No children or visitors are allowed in the test center while testing
  13. Examinees are responsible to make sure they are given the correct exam to receive credit.
  14. Walk-in exams are COMPASS, ACT Residual and Make-up Exams
  15. Last exam is administered 1-3 hours prior to closing depending on which exam is requested (please speak to the testing center staff for further information on time allotments for each exam)
  16. If special accommodations are necessary, please speak with the testing center personnel and provide the appropriate documentation
  17. Students who are ill; coughing, high fever, or other contagious symptoms are encouraged to reschedule their test.
  18. Honesty is the best policy! The use of unauthorized aids, copying or any other form of cheating will result in being dismissed from the Testing Center and appropriate action for that test will be taken.
  19. Students whose behavior is a disturbance to other students will be asked to leave the center.
  20. Scratch paper (if allowed for your test) must be turned in before leaving the Testing center
  21. Items such as notes, books, bookbags, etc. brought to the testing center will be placed in a designated area and left at your own risk
  22. Students on stand-by during peak times will be seated as soon as a computer station becomes available or after 30 minutes if there are no-shows
