Tool and Die Maintenance Technician

With the resurgence of manufacturing in the Chattanooga region, the demand for skilled technicians is increasing. The Tool and Die Maintenance Technician program is dedicated to meeting the needs of manufacturers in need of tool and die maintenance technicians to repair tools and dies, maintain and operate press machines, create basic die sets, and operate machines that are used in making die sets. The graduate from this multi-craft program will have excellent employment opportunities with salaries in the range of $23-28/hour.

Classes will be taught on the Chattanooga State main campus. This program is three semesters in length (1290 clock hours) and it is designed for completers of either a machine tool or industrial maintenance Tennessee Technology Center (TTC) program. Persons with five years of experience in machining or plant maintenance operations may substitute this experience for the program completion requirement for acceptance into the program. Upon successful completion of the tool and die program, graduates will receive a TTC Technical Diploma from Chattanooga State.
