Veteran's Information
General Information
Students must be in a program and not just taking random courses. They can be
enrolled with an undecided major i.e. Bachelor of Arts, Major - Undecided. VA
recognizes some students can change majors and switch to a new major. If this
occurs, fill out
VA form 22-1995.
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs’ Education Service regulations require
that educational institutions evaluate, within a student’s first two semesters
of enrolling, the veterans’ military service for potential academic credit and
to apply such credit towards the student’s declared program of study.
If you have not requested an official military registry transcript to be sent to
our office for evaluation, you are asked to do so no later than (June 1st). You
should request a military registry transcript from any branch of service from
which you received formal military training.
You should request an official transcript from the service component (this
applies only to Chattanooga State students who are registered in the Veteran's
Office) via information available on the internet at :
Army Service –

Your assistance in helping us meet this requirement will prevent any delays in
receipt of your veterans’ education benefit programs. If you have any questions
you may contact the VA office at (423) 697-3222 or (423) 697-2509.
