MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE AND ENTRANCE/EXIT COUNSELING

All students who receive a federal Stafford loan must complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling prior to receiving the loan.

The “Master Promissory Note” (MPN) link includes the Entrance Counseling requirement. A student that completes the MPN process below is not required to select the Entrance counseling link.

if you are a transfer student
if you are a former student and never received a loan at Chattanooga State
if you are a former student and received a loan at Chattanooga State before 2005
if you are a first-time freshman
if you are changing your lender

if you completed a Master Promissory Note previously and did not complete the Entrance Counseling

Stafford Loan Entrance Interview and Exit Counseling

All first-time borrowers at CSTCC must complete an entrance interview before receiving any loan funds.
The federal government requires all students who stop attending school to complete an exit interview. This exit counseling will give you important information about repaying your loan. This counseling is for students who drop below half-time, withdraw or graduate from CSTCC.
