Credit students finishing a degree or certificate should complete the Intent to Graduate form with their advisor. The form should be submitted after completing 30 college-level hours..
TTC students completing a program should apply during their first semester by completing the TTC intent to graduate form.. TTC students may not apply after the term of completion.
Intent to Graduate forms for each academic year (fall, spring, and summer) should be submitted by the end of October. Submission will initiate printing your diploma and posting your credential on your transcript. The transcript is the official record of completion and will be required for transfer and may be required for employment or job placement.
The ceremony is a time to celebrate your academic achievements. All applicants will receive a letter detailing how to order a cap and gown and the dates and times of the ceremony. The deadline for cap and gown orders each year is the end of February. Participation is optional and in no way confirms completion of requirements or official graduation. All requirements for degree and/or certificates must be completed before the credential can be posted to the students’ transcript or a diploma awarded.
Make an appointment with your assigned advisor and discuss your academic and career goals. Together map an Educational Plan to determine the courses you will take each semester until you complete. Also, confirm that your TigerWeb declared major accurately reflects these goals and submit a Major Change if needed.
All associate degree candidates are required to test for general achievement by taking the exit exam. Major-specific testing may also be required. All exit testing must be completed before the Records Office can confirm your degree or issue a diploma. If a student fails to take the exit exam(s) but has completed all other requirements during the fall semester they may take the exam(s) in the spring and have their credential posted as completed in the spring. The exit exam is not given in the summer.
TTC students are required to earn a Career Readiness certificate by the taking the CRC WorkKeys exam before completing their program.
The Summary of Required hours for the student’s major may require that a specific course be taken to satisfy a given General Education requirement. Otherwise, the student may select any course(s) from the General Education List.
A grade of ‘C’ or better is required in all prerequisite courses and in all courses specified by course numbers int eh summary of required hours. Note: Any program directed or technical electives, all Allied Health programs, Associate of Science in Teaching (AST), and Technical Certificates requires "C" or better in all course work. All incomplete, ‘I” grades must be removed. If incomplete grades in courses required for your degree or certificate are not removed within two weeks of the end of the term your credential will not be posted until the following term.
Your name will appear on your diploma and in the Commencement Program as it appears in our student database. If this is not correct, submit a name change to the Records Office with copy of your Social Security card by the end of February. Unless you notify the Graduation Analyst your name will be included in the Commencement Program regardless of previous privacy restriction requests.
Register each semester during priority registration to assure availability of courses needed.
Students who plan to take additional courses that are not required for their degree, must submit a Change of Major before registering for the next term to avoid any financial aid issues or delay the posting your credential.
