PO 110 Introduction to American Government (3) (E)
Basic of democratic government, constitutional principles, functions, operations, and
processes of governmental change; attention is given to the role of political parties,
public opinion, interest groups and propaganda.
PO 112 Introduction to World Politics (3) (E)
World politics with emphasis on international competition, cooperation,
war, and peace. Theories explain political and economic events,
military conflicts, and how domestic politics are linked to foreign
policy. The behavior of states and non-state actors are linked to
the evolution of the contemporary world order.
PO 218 American Presidency (3) (On demand)
This course examines the growth and development of the Presidency and
its place in the American political system. Topics include policy,
image, campaigning, domestic and foreign policies, and the economy.
Prereq: ENGL 1010, PO 110.
