| The American Sign Language Studies Program offers two years of intensive ASL study for transfer to a four-year university. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively both expressively and receptively with deaf persons. The associate degree program of study consists of seven major courses and general education courses: ASL I, ASL II, ASL III, ASL IV, Fingerspelling, ASL Sign Choir, Orientation to Deafness and Psychology of Deaf People and Their Culture. Courses are available in both day and evening classes and may be offered at work sites if 15 or more students are enrolled. Summer courses are available on demand. Program includes total of 67 semester hours of credit. |
