The Phoenix
Begun in 1982, the Phoenix is Chattanooga State's Art and Literary publication. Its primary purpose is to showcase the best work of Chattanooga State students in short fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, and black and white photography.
Chattanooga State mourns the passing of John Stigall, our colleague and friend. John began the Phoenix in 1982 (see History) and continued as its advisor until his medical retirement in 2001. John continued to publish poetry following his retirement. John passed away on November 12, 2009.
