The Certificate Program in Cosmetology prepares students to take the State board of Cosmetology's practical and written examinations.

The Certificate Program in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration covers the theory, application, operation, and maintenance of basic and advanced air conditioning/ refrigeration systems.

Courses toward an Associate of Applied Science degree prepare a student for the workforce. This degree is designed for students who do not intend to pursue a bachelor's degree. However, many of the courses required in these programs will transfer.

Courses toward an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees prepare a student to transfer to a four-year institutions. Chattanooga State students are able to complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree in a wide range of majors.
