The physical therapist assistant (PTA) is a health care worker who works under the supervision of a physical therapist (PT). The PTA Program provides a comprehensive course of classroom and clinical study for students who wish to provide patient/client care in physical therapy as a PTA. Upon completion of the physical therapist assistant program, the student is eligible to take the state licensing examination.
