Susan Thomas


Susan Thomas has published stories, poems, and translations in many journals and anthologies and is the author of State of Blessed Gluttony, the 2004 Benjamin Saltman Poetry Award Winner from Red Hen Press. Her poems and translations appear in Atlanta Review, Crab Orchard Review, Southern Poetry Review, Cimarron Review, Feminist Studies, and others. She has been a recipient of grants from the Vermont State Arts Council and the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, as well as winner of the Iowa Poetry Award and the Ann Stanford Prize. Her chapbook, The Hand Waves Goodbye, appeared in 2002.
