Richard Katrovas


Richard Katrovas is the author of six books of poetry, a memoir, a novel and a book of short stories. The winner of numerous grants, awards and fellowships, Katrovas's poems, stories and essays have appeared in many of the leading magazines, journals and anthologies in America and abroad. Katrovas is retired from the University of New Orleans and currently teaches each fall semester at Western Michigan University, for whom he directs the Prague Summer Program. Katrovas's most recent book is Prague Winter (Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2004). Katrovas lives part of each year in Prague, Czech Republic with his wife the interpreter/translator Dominika Winterova and their daughters Ema and Annie.
