Reda Mansour

Ambassador Reda Mansour, Israeli consulate to Atlanta, has published three books of Hebrew poetry including Tender Leaves of Conscience (2004), From the Battlefields to the Land of Freedom (1991), and The Man of Dreams (1987). Born in the Druze village of Isfiya in northern Israel, he is the first non-Jewish poet in the country to write exclusively in Hebrew. His short story "Jumblat in the Negev" won the "Recommended Story" category of the Ha'aretz Annual Short Story Award in 1997. A collection of his poems is currently being translated into Spanish and Portuguese. He is also working on a book of short stories.
