Mary Ruefle’s books include Memling’s Veil (1982), Life Without Speaking (1987), The Adamant (1989), and Cold Pluto (1996). She is the recipient of an NEA fellowship, a Whiting Writer’s Award, and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She lives in Massachusetts and teaches in the MFA Program at Vermont College.
