David Garrison has published poems in national and regional journals, including Northwest Review, Southern Humanities Review, Poem, American Voice, Berkeley Poetry Review, Gulf Coast, and others. He received an Al Smith Fellowship in Poetry from the Kentucky Arts Council and is currently completing an introductory study of the poetry of Charles Wright. His chapbook One Step Heart is available from Black Dirt Press.
