Submissions

Please make sure all submissions are clearly labeled. For students, please indicate school affiliation and status: Freshman, Sophmore, Junior, Senior, Graduate, Post-graduate. Be sure to include your name, phone number, and e-mail address with your submission.

Those unable to submit electronically can submit paper copies of three (3) copies of up to twelve (12) pages of prose in collated packets and/or three (3) copies of up to three (3) poems in collated packets. Paper submissions may be mailed to

The first poem in each packet will be the one discussed in the conference-workshop, so make sure that is the topmost poem; in prose, the individual reader may focus on a theme such as beginning, scene, point of view, etc. so that only a small portion of the piece may be up for discussion.

The deadline for submissions to the Fall 2008 workshop is October 3rd.

This program will, at the suggestion of a number of participants, try a series of small conference-workshops in place of the larger workshops and the individual conferences. Our post-reading parties and gatherings (places TBA) will provide ample opportunity to talk with the visiting writers. The staff are picked for their willingness to spend time with aspiring writers as well as their credentials as writers. They will be available for lunch and coffee throughout the conference; all one needs to do is introduce him or herself and set a time to talk, or simply introduce yourself at one of the post-reading gatherings or the Saturday evening supper.
