The goal of the Mathematics Department is to equip students with the mathematical knowledge and skills essential to achieve their educational and career goals. The faculty and staff of the department are committed to student success. Almost every area of concentration requires at least one college-level course in mathematics. Freshman and sophomore mathematics courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities through the Tennessee Transfer Path program.
The Mathematics Center offers a variety of free services in support of students in their quest to develop college level mathematical skills, or to pass required general education courses.
