VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY DEADLINES
Step 1Application to the College: A completed application with all required materials (H.S. transcript or GED, college transcripts, ACT or SAT scores, etc.) must be received in the Chattanooga State Admissions office prior to making application to the Veterinary Technology Program and no later than May 1, 2009. (The major code for Veterinary Technology is VETT.) All Developmental Courses must be successfully completed prior to application to the Program or, by special exception, prior to the beginning of Fall Semester, 2009. Special exception requests will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Veterinary Technology Admissions Committee.

Application to the Veterinary Technology Program May 1, 2009. Send program applications to Veterinary Technology Program; Chattanooga State; 4501 Amnicola Hwy; Chattanooga, TN 37406. Documentation verifying a minimum of 40 hours spent working/volunteering/observing should also be sent to the above address. (NOTE: Applications accepted after this date will be considered only if there are not enough priority applicants to fill the 24 spaces in the class.)

Documentation verifying a minimum of 40 hours spent working, volunteering, and/or observing with a veterinarian should also be sent to the above address or FAX to (423) 697-2595.
Step 4
Completion of the HOBET/NET Test. (Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test/Nursing Entrance Test) Please see NET/HOBET Registration Information Sheet. NOTE: It is best to take this exam as soon as possible as it fills quickly and may be full if you wait until the last couple of dates prior to the application deadline. Please contact Mary Hall for testing appointments at 423-697-2661.
Those accepted into the program will be notified by mail approximately 4 weeks after the deadline date.
