ADMISSION INFORMATION
- Submit a completed “application for admission to CSTCC” and pay a non-refundable application fee to the Admission Office or fill out an application online and mail to the Admissions Office. Acceptance to CSTCC does not mean acceptance to the Surgical Technology program. This is a separate application process.
- Submit Surgical Technology application to the Surgical Technology Program.
- A complete application consists of the following:
- The two page Surgical Technology application form
- Provide an "official copy" of high school transcript or GED test scores and any other schools or colleges attended.
- Sign up for and successfully pass the “Nursing Entrance Test” * Passing NET scores must be within two (2) years of entrance into the program.
- Once the selection process begins, students are contacted and an interview is scheduled and the class is then selected. (Only students with a “complete” application will be contacted.)

- Our application and acceptance requirements are subject to change without notification.
- Students completing regular Anatomy & Physiology I & II (Biology 2010 & 2020); or a one semester anatomy class (Biology 1060/1061) with a “B” or better can be considered exempt from taking anatomy as part of the Surgical Technology program. The course(s) must be within 5 years of entrance into the Surgical Technology program.
- Those students completing the regular A&P I & II or Biology 1060/1061 will receive bonus points towards acceptance into the program.
- Students accepted into the class will then need to submit the results of a completed physical examination as directed by the director of the program. Applicants must be free of any physical or emotional condition that might adversely affect performance in any phase of the program.
- A thorough criminal background check, at student’s expense, is required if accepted into the program. Any student not complying with this requirement will not be eligible to attend the program. A failed background check will prevent attendance in the program due to clinical facility requirements.
- All students are subject to random semesterly drug screening at their own expense.
