MEDICAL ASSISTANT

The Chattanooga State Medical Assistant program is a 1290 clock hour (three semester) program. Applications are accepted year round from students who have earned a regular high school diploma or GED.

Medical Assistant students receive a combination of classroom study, practice in the campus laboratory, and clinical and administrative practice in local physician's offices.

Upon completion of the Medical Assistant program, students are eligible to receive 30 semester hours of advanced placement toward an Associates Degree in Applied Technology.

The Chattanooga State Technical Community College Medical Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants' Endowment (AAMA)
